posted 12/13/2009 Dedham Youth Lacrosse is a member of the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League (for Boys) and The Founders League (for Girls). Both are recreational youth leagues focused on developing lacrosse skills and technique while promoting sportsmanship at the youth level. No standings are kept and there are no league champions or playoff games.
Our philosophy is that all players participate as equally as possible with the goal of teaching the sport and providing a fun experience for all involved without the ‘win-at-all-cost’ mentality all too present in today's youth sports.
Dedham Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit organization funded by the fees from its’ registrants and managed by a dedicated group of volunteer directors and coaches. Lacrosse is played in a three month period from the middle of March though early June. Practices are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday and games are played on Sunday. The season wraps up with a one-day Jamboree festival where we celebrate the sport with a series of recreational games to end the season.
